Why We Keep It Simple at BAR Therapies

When Dr. Allyson Barnes founded BAR Therapies, she had one clear goal: to make sure every piece of equipment we use in the clinic is affordable and accessible.

Because here’s the truth: no matter how “cool” the newest gadget is, if it’s too expensive or can’t fit in your home, it doesn’t serve you in the long run.

Living Floppy means a lifelong strive for strength and mobility without overcomplicating it with the latest fads or flashy tools. That’s why we stick with tried-and-true equipment that actually works and can be part of your real life.

Below you’ll find links to the items we use in the clinic every day, so you can bring the same tools into your own care.

Rock Tape Level 1

K-tape that is made with a different polymer to decrease risk of adverse reaction

Rock Tape Level 2

Similar to the tape above but has a little more oomph and stickiness for a longer stick

Foam Roller Soft

Because sometimes we need to be a little more squish.

Foam Roller Hard

This is simply a personal preference

Foam Roller Half

Provides the balance component without having to get on the floor

Cupping Set

We love the ease, versality, and affordability of this option

Yoga Mat Thick

A more thick yoga mat to give your knees some cushion

Foam Pad

Firm, but soft surface to do floor work for those slippery knee caps

Wedge

The exact one we use in treatment
