PELVIS PROGRAM
The pelvis is more than a group of muscles.
It is a foundation for breathing, pressure management, stability, bowel and bladder function, sexual health, and how we move through the world. When the pelvis is not functioning well, the effects are often felt far beyond the pelvic floor.
Low back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, hip discomfort, postural challenges, abdominal symptoms, and even symptoms farther down the kinetic chain can all be influenced by how the pelvis is functioning.
For individuals with hypermobility, the pelvis often works overtime. Connective tissue differences can influence stability, muscle coordination, pressure management, and the body's ability to efficiently support movement and daily activities. The result can be pain, leakage, feelings of instability, or symptoms that seem unrelated but are deeply connected.
Did you know that pelvic floor dysfunction is incredibly common in individuals with persistent pain? Common, however, does not mean normal.
At BAR Therapies, our pelvic health physical therapy services are focused on the unique needs of women, including pelvic pain, bowel and bladder concerns, sexual health, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and the role the pelvis plays in whole-body stability and movement.
We take a whole-person approach that recognizes the pelvis as part of a larger, interconnected system. Care focuses on improving function, building confidence, and helping you better understand the relationship between your pelvis and the rest of your body.
Because leakage, pelvic pain, and instability should not simply be accepted as part of life.
You deserve care that looks beyond symptoms and helps you build a stronger foundation for everything you do.
